[CRASH] Insufficient Memory - During TW/Siege
« on: October 28, 2019, 01:32:31 PM »
Hello,

Lately there is a general issue with critical errors client crash on TW/Sieges due to client engine memory limitations. This is caused by the old Unreal engine in combination with Windows 10.

If you have the below error please check the solution area.

"
Insufficient Memory.
Please check the Virtual Memory Option and available hard drive space.
You can check them by going to : Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Advanced->Virtual memory.
History: FMallocWindows::Malloc <- Size ....
"

SOLUTION:

1. Open L2.exe in Windows 7 / XP compatibility mode
2. Install a program to unlock the 2 GB memory limit, you can download it from here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/
3. Use ALT + P to avoid large memory consumption on each client open
4. Reinstall a clean version of Lineage 2 High Five and latest system patch version
5. In game ALT + B - Control Panel - Enable "No animations"
6. In game video menu - use a 16bit resolution instead of 32bit
7. Install latest MSXML from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15697

I hope this help.

Max.
