Armor Restriction

I would highly recomand to give armor restrictions to classes which are not skilled to wear havy armors.
Yes we all know it, old trick. GKs using Heavy Armor for more Patk/pdef/Hp ratio and extra stat bonuses elegia or Vesper Found gives.
Some archers gave that a chance too and tadaaa a super archer was born with ++ patk and higher pdef. ( even tho they profit enough because of cozy mogus 1h and wind storm only 1min QQ).
I mean we all play this game since 20 years, we all tried things out. But we are playing on a h5 high rate server with +16 items and heavy armors are the best in this game, since its all due to skill attack and not melee attack cause fullbuffs, mp pots etc.
Before making it worse and even before mages start to wear heavy armor please, think about it and lets enjoy this game together without any disadvantages of the other classes! Because all in all only 1 class should wear robe light and heavy! And its hierophant not the others!

Well, the people benefits from iit will be for sure against it. But if u want funny, fair and balanced gameplay, this is in my eyes the only way. Even if you decide not to change it im totally fine about ti. I will myself thrn change to heavy Armor and benefit of it. I was just pointing out the obvious of people getting killed from others and blame it on Unbalance or Chars with extra items. Just let me know what u decide

Those ppl that complain will do it whether u wear light or heavy.
Personally i kinda like it, in the start of the server i geared my archer with moirai heavy just cause i couldnt find anything from light sets on the market, it helped me a lot. It gave me the pdef boost u mentioned above but i lost the crit chance resist from my passives, which makes it balanced in my eyes.
As for the gk example i believe its too tanky by itself so by adding it a heavy set it makes the diff noticable. Could be fixed with -15% pvpdef imo.

Thats my 2 cents, change or no im also fine with that.

I would admin recomand to log sometime when he has time, equip the classes with light and heavy and then compare. Like. Gk heavy vs gk light / archer heavy vs archer light / dagger heavy vs dagger light etc..
also every other combinations like GK heavy vs dagger light/ Archer heavy vs Gk light and and and.
Long story short, heavy armor is far better.
As i said before, if he changes, its fine, if he doesnt its fine too. But without the fully potential of a ballanced server could never be reached. But its just my point of view 😁maybe u guys here see things different.

You mean to tell me light armor mastery works with heavy set?? You got me confused.

Light armor master gives u -crit chance of 35%. This is useless. Also light armor gives u pdef.
Now depends on enchant it increases pdef or evasion. Since almost all classes on this server. (Tanks/titans excluded) play skill based. Evasion is not usefull cause it only evades physical attacks. Enchanted to +30 gives u what ? 20 pdef more ? These kind of skills are based or low grade servers with +0/1/2/3 items, there 20pdef is a bit more usefull then here.
Heavy gives u in total ~400pdef more. +400pdef > -35% crit chance from light armor mastery.

I believe this issue is particularly serious for GKs, Archers, and Daggers, as in my experience, Heavy armor sets indeed provide much more pattack and pdefense. My suggestion is to add a penalty of 15 or 20% in attack speed and a 10% in speed. This is thematically coherent since an agile class using heavy armor would be slowed down. This will bring balance and dynamism to the server, and those who want to use Heavy can continue doing so, but they will know they won't be as fast. Thank u.

Seems that your not Geared enough!! Cause archer is making 300-500 normal dmg to Robes and 2-3k crit and receive 5-6k damage from mages , tanks make to archer 3-5k crits and 700-800 normal . When you are fully geared archers 1v1 lose from the most classes. I believe what you are looking here is to make people delete all archers they have! If you are fully geared and you get tons of damage it means archers had SOS - APE as well, cant avoid the massive damage there!! Also melle characters make tons dmg with sos - ape. What class are you playing if you may tell us?

The point is, i dont lose against archers. I wil mostly all pvps against archers here on server 😅 when i talk about stuff it is not because i lost a pvp and got mad. I talk about it because i see a big issue on it. I mean u can wear a heavy against me and u will still use the 1vs1. This post was not about me. Its about general. Non heavy classes using heavy armors is not just here one. Many servers handled it with restrictions to try keeping balance. Look i give u some infos about server mechanics here for you to understand how some things work.
Archers got cozy magus + wind storm last only 1min. So archers dmg is already guaranteed. But not only that, the basic archer config without fullbuffs is already strong. Example ? Olympiad, archers sometimes one shot opponents.
So archers are already one top pvp class here. So why assisting it more and letting them get extra heavy bonus, even they are one of the best classes already ? (Look how many play archers)
Second thing i recognized in this server is the debuff land rate, which is quite high. You know why ? Cause also song of purification is not avaiable and last 1 min. U know what that means ? That means ur full buffed debuff resistance can only get to 30 ( when you use magnus chant u get 45, but as a fighter? Well gg ).
Just compare all your statistics in game and u will see the there are extreme devistions on the resistances in relation.
But anyways this is a over 20 years old game and every admin rules the server how he wants, because its his work not ours.
